Ranking high in the search engines is every bloggers and entrepreneurs dream or goal. But, as we all know that sometimes does not happen so easily. That product that we purchased that promised us urgent results does not actually help at all. I have always been afraid of hiring on an SEO company to do some of my keyword work for my blog and company ( Wordlaw Marketing). I challenge a lot of the things I hear from these SEO companies and it make it hard to believe what they are promising me in results. One of my blog posts that I have written last year fell in the top searches of Google to my surprise and it took only two steps in which I would be showing you what to do as well.
When I first heard of getting in the top searches of Google I thought it would be impossible. But, once I understood how to strategize certain keywords or phrases it was quite easy. One of the phrases I wanted was Facebook Clickbank Ads which was a post I have written a while ago.
Now, the process in which I took to understand and get that phrase was to look into Google Keyword Tool and see how many searches that phrase was getting along with other searched terms. This is where I do some homework to see who is searching for what and for how much. I don’t go after phrases or keywords that have a high search volume but phrases or keywords that have low or medium size traffic as it would be easier to rank higher.
So, depending upon the page or blog post that you are trying to rank for you should look and see what keywords are ranking and what people are searching for and based upon those you should choose about 5-10 keywords to rank for.
From there I go over to Traffic Estimator where I see the estimates of how much it would cost per click for that specific word or phrase. This is a factor in which I determine how much I would want to spend per click for some of my PPC campaigns that I run. This is a major tool in trying to understand how well and easy you can rank in any search engine. This does not happen over night but if you can go through these two steps it would give you an idea and start point of where to begin and what to do.
With Traffic Estimator I choose about 3 different phrases to see how much clicks and money they would cost to run. From there I make a decision of which direction I would like to go with. If you have hired on a company (Wordlaw Marketing) or another company to assist you with your SEO then this would be a nice start for you before you hire on someone or a company.
Being in the top searches are crucial for success online but it does take some work and strategies to get there as well. But, you want to understand that going after non competitive keywords could get you there faster. If you have any questions, tips, or tools then leave them in the comment section.
