You are having a huge issue with your Facebook advertisements not getting approved and I’m probably going to assume that your frustration level is getting higher. Yes, I was there right with you until I understood that their were a couple of things that I was doing wrong with my Facebook advertisements that I’m going to share with you.
Well, it seems to be a couple of things (primarily four) that you’re doing right now that is preventing your ads of getting approved. Facebook is getting more and more strict about their advertising platform and wants to make sure that you’re sticking to their guidelines.
Here are 4 Ways Your Facebook Ads Won’t Get Approved:
Image:
- When you try and put up a picture and it’s a bit explicit that’s not going to work for Facebook. Even if you’re trying to sell a fitness product you still want to be cautious of the images that you use. Make sure that the image doesn’t display anything sexual, harming, or violent. It makes no sense why you would use images like this but sometimes you want to get a higher click through rate. But, I would want you to focus on clean and positive images so that your ads get approved faster.

URL Link:
- Some of you are apart of an MLM or Empower Network and Facebook does not like when people promote home based businesses so you’re going to have to not link straight to your landing pages that these companies give you. What I recommend is creating a landing page that is something different with your own domain name and send traffic to that. This is very common but most people never think of this because Facebook hasn’t came out and said it just yet but it has a very huge list of home based businesses that it banned their URL’s for promoting on their advertising platform. Also, linking to external websites as well might get your ad denied too. Facebook likes when people send traffic to tabs so I recommend that you try and put all of your landing pages into tabs on Facebook. A good tool to use would be the iFrame Apps on Facebook. Very easy to use.
Ad Copy:
- You can’t put anything sexual in your ad copy of your Facebook ad or anything harmful. Yes, your ad copy should be enticing to read but you shouldn’t deliberately write something that would make Facebook deny your ad. Your ad copy should deliver a quality message that merges with the title of the ad copy and landing page. Avoid saying things like “Like my post, play this post, home base business”. Recently, I got some of my ads denied because I had those words in the ad copy and that was the reasoning they gave me when they sent me an email back.
Age Group:
- When you are focusing on the age of your ad make sure that you’re not having your ad focused on any age under 18 unless your business offers a product for that age group. I personally don’t see what kind of products you can be selling to a group of kids 13 to 17 . Facebook is very strict about this age group and if anything doesn’t look correct to them they will deny your ad quickly. So, stick with 18 and over and you should have a good chance of getting your ads approved.
Facebook is one of the best advertising platforms in my opinion. They offer some of the most specific targeting specifications compared to the other advertising platforms and it’s a lot easier to really narrow down on your target market.
Some of these reasons why your Facebook ads aren’t getting approved are common with a lot of people but if you can follow just these simple areas you should see your Facebook advertisements get approved a lot faster and easier.
