You Got Mad But Continued To Do The Same

You started a new company online and you thought that it was going to be a success. But, after three weeks into the business and $3000 invested into the company you turn away and say “this is not going to work”. Only then to get mad and say “this was a dumb idea”.

Ever been in that situation?

You get mad about things in your business but then continue to sit there and do the same thing over and over again instead of waiting and figuring out a solution to your problem because you want money right now. It’s not like you’re trying to add value right now you just want money right now and you get mad because you’re not.

This is basically what most people do online now a days when wanting to start a business. You get mad and continue to do the same things.

Why?

What you should do is stop doing your business. Sit back and relax and figure out a solution to that problem. You need to step away from the business and create a mind map using Mind Meister and create you a flow of your entire business front to back of how you would want things to work out for you.

Once you figure that out you get into more detail of each aspect of your business of what needs to happen to increase your revenue and profits. From there you then see what areas you’re going to take care of and which you’re going to outsource to others.

When you start doing this you realize that you’re now solving a problem instead of getting mad like most and giving up because you feel this idea won’t work. Most ideas actually do work when you put in the time, correct system, and add a piece of patience. I know you probably don’t have all three right now but that’s why you’re reading this blog post.

To form all three areas this is what you need to do:

1) Give yourself one year in your business right now to start generating money. If you need cash now then do some freelance work or find a job to pay for your monthly bills. When you do this you now give yourself the time to build a business on your own terms and also you’re not in a rush to make money because you have to pay for all these expenses. I know some people might think “now if I get a job how will I have more time”. Well, that’s in the second part of this

2) You need to create a system and that’s why using Mind Meister and figuring out which areas of your business you should outsource so that you can speed line your entire business and focus on areas that are easier for you to do. If you know how to write really well then that’s the area of the business that you should only work on and hire someone else to worry about the design and marketing. Focus on your strengths because you will then be better able to see your business grow. Yes, you want to grow your weaknesses but don’t try to become an expert in everything just understand the fundamentals.

3) The biggest area that most people fail in is the “I want it now” mentality and then they shoot themselves in the foot. Don’t be that person. Chill out and give it sometime. If this is your first business or even your tenth business it will take time before it becomes popular and starts to generate the revenue that you’re looking for. Patience is key when wanting to start a business online or increase your revenue. Don’t be that person that wants money now and then gets mad in two days because no one buys your $27 product.

You need to stop giving up and getting mad and start building businesses and being joyful about creating something that will last longer than one year. Your goal is to still be doing this for at least five years. It takes a person about ten years to become a master at some thing and most people get mad and give up in ten hours online.

Change your mentality about online business and you will change your business.

Continue to kick ass in life and business.

This is the truth. Before my most recent year online, I did exactly what you mentioned in the beginning of this article... at least 3 or 4 times. I just didn't have the patience to stick with it or the drive to switch things up if they didn't work. So glad to have grown out of that!

@SeanDavis Yeah Sean I think we've all did it at the beginning of our online careers. Patience is just that one piece of thought that we just don't want to abide by it seems.

This is a GREAT post, Justice. I recently realized that I am impatient and expect instant results. I'm learning to be patient, consistent, and put some skin in the game to build towards something substancial. If only I'd realized this sooner. ;)

@danielleleslie It took me about six months to slow down and realize that it won't happen over night so I completely understand where you're coming from with that. At least you're now understanding that.

Superb advice! We're sadly so into instant gratification that we forget that patience will better get us where we want to go. Great post!

@jvonbargen Thanks so much for leaving a comment. You're so correct though with that entire idea. If people just become a bit more patient they will see more results with their business.
