How I Started With Internet Marketing
Hi, my name is Justice Wordlaw IV.
I wanted to share with you my story on how I started out online and what lead me to the point as to where I’m at right now. You see I have had a long road of jobs that I never liked and bosses that I knew I was smarter than. I was apart of an MLM and I didn’t even know what they were at that time as well.
When I first heard about entrepreneurship was in 2008 when I was introduced to a company where a guy at the time told me I could bring in an extra $500 to $1000 per month. Now, who has heard that before? Well, if you tell that to a young guy as myself that brightened my day and he had my entire focus. He dragged me out to a conference room over at a hotel where I sat down in a room full of people and watched this dvd that talked about offering this service to people.
I somewhat paid attention to that dvd of the services but when it came down to the compensation part my entire focused shifted. I started to understand and listen to people that made thousands of dollars from their home. From offering a service that helped people. That’s what I always enjoyed about life. Helping others!
As you could imagine I signed up with this company and after that I started trying to grow my downline. I bothered my friends and family and asked them over to my home to watch this dvd to show them a new opportunity and also to offer this sale. But, I felt guilty in a sense. If they signed up and didn’t make money or if they honestly didn’t need the service I didn’t want my name dragged around in the mud. So, after a couple of months I left.
I stepped right into social media consulting and strategizing after that. Assisting companies and other entrepreneurs with the setup and operations of their social media accounts. That was probably the worst self employed job I had but it taught me a lot about people and the entire process of selling myself before I sell a service or product. As I continued to do that more I started to do more research online and went to some more networking events. One evening I hung out with a guy named Justin Burns of Text Affirmations where he introduced me to a guy named Rich Schefren and the Internet Business Manifesto ebook.
I read this ebook and Rich talked about creating systems and a business to make true wealth online and I was blown away. I have never read any content like this before and the lifestyle that he had pictured to me in my head I wanted so bad. So, two weeks later after finishing that ebook I started focusing my attention on internet and affiliate marketing.
I tried to learn everything I could about informational products, webinars, outsourcing, email campaigns, pay per click, and anything else that I needed to understand to become the best. From 2009 to 2010 I studied courses and implemented the knowledge that I had acquired. I had no girlfriend and wanted to focus my entire attention on being a better business man online and offline.
Then in the middle of 2010 I started to see more income come in from the affiliate marketing that I was doing. The campaigns that I was being apart started to work and I now was growing more money each month.
Fast forward to today I work from my home and I enjoy meeting up with my friends and traveling many places.
I wanted to start Affiliate Manifesto to discuss and create a community of internet and affiliate marketers where we talk about things that are going on within our industry.
